Dr. Tejashree Sathe is a highly skilled and accomplished ophthalmologist with an extensive background in the field of eye care. Born on 21st November 1988, she has dedicated over 11 years to the practice of ophthalmology, excelling in various specialties such as cornea, retina, glaucoma, and occuloplasty.
Dr. Sathe is known for her surgical expertise, particularly in procedures like phacoemulsification, SICS with IOL, ECC with IOL, pterygium excision with autograft and AMG, C3R for keratoconus, trabeculectomy, intravitreal injections, chalazion excision and curettage, DCT, and enucleation.
Her academic journey includes earning her MBBS from B.J. Medical College, Sasoon General Hospital, Pune, followed by a DO from the Western Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, M and J Institute Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad, where she achieved the status of university topper in 2012. She went on to complete her DNB at Aravind Eye Hospitals, Pondicherry, in 2014, and obtained FICO (London) in the same year.
Dr. Sathe has showcased her academic prowess with notable achievements such as securing All India Rank 1 in the post-diploma DNB entrance test in 2014 and being the Gujarat University topper in diploma in ophthalmology in the same year. Her commitment to education is evident in her first-attempt admissions to both MBBS and post-graduation courses in government hospitals.
With a rich training and work experience history, Dr. Sathe has served as an Associate Consultant Ophthalmologist at Asian Eye Institute and as a Junior Consultant Ophthalmologist at Kandivali Hitwardhak Mandal. Currently, she holds the position of Chief Consultant Eye Surgeon at Dr. Sathe’s Eye Clinic, where she continues to make a significant impact.
Dr. Sathe is not only distinguished in her surgical and medical capabilities but also stands out for her excellent verbal communication skills in five languages: English, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, and Hindi. Her impressive personality, combined with simplicity, makes her adept at building strong bonds with patients.
